Musician,
artist, and filmmaker Perry Farrell revolutionized the concept
of alternative music as the front man for seminal LA band
Jane's Addiction and its successor, Porno for Pyros. Along
with recording and film making, Farrell conceived the Lollapalooza
and ENIT Festivals, pioneering the union of large rock festivals
with grassroots activism, all with a carnivalesque flair.
Farrell continues to create art and music and in addition
to having been an environmental spokesperson for the Surfrider
Foundation, works on behalf of the Jubilee 2000 Coalition/Net
Aid, an organization dedicated to the cancellation of global
debt for the world's poorest countries.
